The SEPAC'S next workshop is this Monday, March 9 at 6:30 PM at the Buker Multipurpose Room. Mediation: What is it and how it can help in the special education process? Presented by mediators who work for the Bureau of Special Education Appeals (BSEA), this workshop will discuss the role and benefit of mediation in the special education process, including when mediation may be helpful/appropriate, how to prepare for mediation and options for resolution. The next SEPAC business meeting is Wednesday, March 11, 6:30 in Room 120 at the Miles River Middle School. Anyone with an interest in special education is welcomed to attend.
The Hamilton-Wenham Special Education Parent Advisory Council is open to all parents or guardians of children with learning, neurological, physical, psychological, emotional or cognitive disabilities, as well as other interested parties. The SEPAC also advises the school committee and school officials in the planning, development, and evaluation of special education programs and offers education, networking and support to parents and guardians of children with learning differences and disabilities.
